Our Adoption Process

Intentional Placement.
Lifelong Commitment.

1. Submit an Application

Families begin by completing our online application. This allows us to learn about your home, lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a puppy.

2. Application Review

We carefully review each application. If we feel your home is a good fit, we will contact you to discuss availability and next steps.

3. Reservation Deposit

Once approved, a $500 non-refundable reservation deposit is required to secure your place on our waitlist.

Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price.

4. Waitlist Placement

Families are placed in order of deposit received. Because we intentionally raise a limited number of litters each year in our Pennsylvania home, spots may fill in advance.

5. Puppy Selection

Puppy selection typically occurs around 4 weeks of age. Families choose in the order deposits were received.

We happily provide photos, videos, milestones, and updates during this time.

6. Go-Home Day

Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age after:

• Veterinary exam
• Routine deworming
• Age-appropriate vaccinations
• Microchipping

Remaining balance is due at pickup.

HEALTH & RESPONSIBILITY

Our Commitment to Health

Each Serenity Acres puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to going home and comes with a written health guarantee. We require new owners to schedule a veterinary exam within 72 hours of pickup to validate the guarantee.

We believe responsible breeding includes transparency, preparation, and ongoing support.

🩺 Why We Require a Veterinary Exam Within 72 Hours

The health and wellbeing of our puppies is a responsibility we take seriously.

Each Serenity Acres Cavapoo is examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to going home, receives age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, and is microchipped before joining their new family.

We require all families to schedule a veterinary exam within 72 hours of pickup to:

• Confirm the puppy’s health upon transition
• Establish care with your local veterinarian
• Protect both the family and our health guarantee
• Ensure early detection of any unexpected concerns

This policy is not about paperwork, it is about partnership.

Responsible breeding includes responsible ownership. The 72-hour exam ensures that your puppy begins their life with you under proper veterinary guidance and allows our health guarantee to remain valid.

Our goal is to support you beyond go-home day and set every puppy up for lifelong health.

IMPORTANT POLICIES

• Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to a future litter.

• We reserve the right to decline placement if we feel a home is not the right fit.

• Visits are limited to approved families with deposits in place.

What Sets Serenity Acres Apart

Not all breeding programs operate the same way.

At Serenity Acres:

• Our dogs live inside our home — not in outdoor kennels
• We raise a limited number of litters each year
• Puppies receive daily interaction and early social exposure
• We require an application process for thoughtful placement
• We maintain communication with families beyond go-home day

We believe how a puppy is raised in the first eight weeks has a lasting impact on confidence, adaptability, and temperament.

For us, this is not simply about producing puppies, it is about stewarding lives responsibly.
